I really liked learning the phrase "back when tigers used to smoke" that is just fantastic. I really like how you added a song list with the youtube link. The formatting and pictures are really cool. And just in general, i liked learning about bowie; I always looked at him with his fully fledged career; I never thought about seeing bowie evolve year after year and not knowing exactly where he's going. It's easy with hindsight but I bet being his fan during his career was exciting, frustrating and exhilarating.
Thanks for that Robbie, really helpful to hear what's working for you, and glad you liked the playlist. I also love the back when tigers used to smoke angle, so much better than once upon a time.
The whole thing... but I guess I was just thinking about how Bowie was playing with these big ideas and I have been steeped in them my whole life but never really paused to investigate how 'out there' it all was, and as I feel myself getting more and more 'out there' it feels reassuring like he has already led the way, artistically and maybe even as a time-traveling cosmic jester. Thinking about how AI is cannibalising itself into creating a reality that perpetuates itself in a loop like an ourabora. Or how AI and digital consumption could also be a big higher mind which controls all thinking, steering all thought and consciousness which of course creates the nature of reality itself. I mean. I lot here. As an artist, a lot to maw on. A big permission slip for me to get very WEIRD.
Absolutely Bowie as the ultimate cosmic jester, winking at us from the outer edges of possibility, reassuring us that getting "out there" is not only allowed but necessary. And honestly, if AI is the ouroboros, endlessly swallowing its own tail, maybe artists like you are the glitch in the loop the beautiful, chaotic disruptions that keep the higher mind from turning into just another closed circuit. If this is your permission slip to get very weird, I’d say the universe just stamped it with a big, glittery Approved⚡️✅ How are these ideas manifesting in your own art? I'm genuinely curious about the weird places Bowie's cosmic trail is leading you ⚡️⚡️⚡️🖤🖤🖤
In so many ways, inter dimensional quantum reality bending time travel is in all my work, and about aliens and interfacing with a bigger galactic family. Wondering what would happen if contact were to happen in this moment in time - with totalitarian leaders at the helm. You know… mawing 🛸 But like I said, I’ve been singing Bowie my whole life without consciously realizing he was taking me to outer space the whole time ✨
Absolutely love this! 🛸✨ It’s wild how art can subconsciously guide us to themes we don’t even realise we’re exploring until we step back and see the bigger picture. Bowie definitely had a way of pulling us into the cosmos like a quiet invitation to something beyond our comprehension. And imagining contact in today’s world? Phew. With everything going on, it’s both terrifying and thrilling to think about how that would play out. Your work sounds like a portal in itself. 🖤⚡️
Another great post. thanks for sharing!
Thanks Robby, anything in particular that you liked?

This was the trippiest thing I've read in a long while, thank you
Thanks Kate, it is pretty trippy ha ha, anything in particular or the whole thing?
